Postcard collage Garden #1 (2009) paper, acrylic on board, 4 x 6 in.
When I am in a garden I often think about the "goings on" I cannot see, the new growth, the minerals in the soil helping out, the roots, and of course the constant decay. I am trying to capture this process abstractly. This is my first organic attemept.
I have really enjoyed your latest post card collages, especially this one today. And your new picture is dynamite, young lady.
ReplyDeleteThese are just great Margaret!
ReplyDeleteWow! again. I love the organic feel of this one.
ReplyDeleteLike this abstract piece so much...beautiful and I like your photo...I like your cute hairstyle and smile!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to get compliments especially when I've been feeling blah lately. The value of blogging goes beyond painting doesn't it? As for my collages, I'm having a ball.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am completely enthralled by the web of lines.
ReplyDeleteWonderful collage! I've enjoyed looking at them all, but this is my favorite. In this small piece, you've captured both the spontaneity and patterns of nature.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and the contrast between the web of lines and the more geometric horizontal line.... it makes the web and dots seem even more active :) Very beautiful.... it would make a lovely larger piece too.
ReplyDeleteThese postcards are very nice. A lot of ideas in a small space! What thoughtful color.
ReplyDeletehow did i miss this one!
