I love purple in all its guises and uses.
I embrace all with open arms.
I am in good company. Purple was the favourite colour of Cleopatra. Purple is supposed to be the colour of good judgment. I like to think this applies to me.
It is a good colour to use in meditation and having it around you is supposed to give you peace of mind. It is one of the colours I chose for my summer house.
A purple room can boost a person's creativity, but be careful because too much purple can cause moodiness. Lighter purples are more romantic and delicate while deeper purples suggest riches.
Then there is is connection to magic, mystery and royalty.
Did you know that Thursday's colour is purple?
I've used purple in my artwork from the beginning.
One of my first art sales. In 2003 I was working in oil pastel.
The oil pastel painting in my ensuite bathroom.
Guess who else likes purple?

Some people are really into purple. Check out Purple Worm blog. Are there any other purple lovers out there in blogland?

The first time I got to pick out the color of my room I had purple up the slanted walls, across the tiny roof and purple and white striped wall paper at the end walls. I loved it. Now I use plum in my bedroom. Purple can be a "neutral", and I like it that way - soft and earthy.
Yes purple is a gorgeous colour. I like wearing it too. It was very fashionable in South Africa this Winter past.
Your purple post is rich and welcoming.
Your references to purple are interesting-- did not know a lot about purple-- I can't wear purple, and it is not anywhere in my house or paintings BUT I do love lavender- the color, the smell, the flower.
I didn't mention all the purple clothes I own in my post. It was getting "too Purple". Lucky for me purple looks great with white/gray hair.
I love all the purple..Soft and cozy. Also I like all the info you included.
I, too, love purple. I have many purple clothes, and I use purple in many of my paintings. In my landscapes, I use purple to block in areas of tree foliage and other green masses. When I then work with the greens, the plants seem to spring to life. I also love purple in combination with orange. Great zing.
