Encaustic monotypes -Putting it together

Why invent the boat when there are so many great illustrations out there?  It never occurred to me to check out the famous YouTube option before I started to write these posts on encaustic printmaking. A picture is worth a thousand words so here are the pictures.....

This is a good introduction to the basic approach to encaustic monotype using a hot box (which I don't have but may acquire). I couldn't embed it in the text; here's the link. 



A similar video by  R& F  demonstrates various techniques I talked about in my previous post.  The 16 inch palette show is the one I like to use.

Very interesting, Margaret. I really enjoyed watching the creation of the monoprints. It took me back to a time when I was creating monoprints with serigraphy. Different, but the same. Thanks for sharing this.
