Christmas art

Pinterest

My exhibition in Nova Scotia is in the past and I am into the thick of what Christmas is in my home.  If the title sounds like I am busy creating Christmas art nothing could be further from the truth.  This time of year I am all about family and getting my house in a festive mode. You can see my latest  simple decorating ideas at my Designing Home blog. I'm queen of spray paint and recycling this year.

I don't  see the studio in December, unless I'm making cards or wrapping gifts. While not actively creating, I'm percolating.   I spent a day doing encaustic monotypes at Torbay Bight Studio and I have lots of samples to photograph when I get a minute to set it up. These will be fodder for new encaustic mixed media works.  I'm excited about the prospects.  More on this later.

Your decorations are beautiful and perfect for your house. I'm thinking of using my hubcaps from several years ago--maybe just one on my front gate. My neighbors missed them last year. Merry Christmas.

Very few Christmas decorations will be up this year and no tree! My eldest requested a Christmas at her place (almost 20hrs of driving away!) Red and silver look very pretty together.
