When I create encaustic monotypes I usually work with mulberry paper on a roll and sometimes this paper is joined. I get so caught up in the excitement of my creations I don't notice I have to move into a seam. Now that is truly disappointing because I love this piece where the sun is nestled into the hills.
Would you mind a join in the paper?

Oh Margaret - I've made the same type of mistake in the past and it's heartbreaking! This work is so beautiful, though.
yes i would mind a seam ... but you know ... it could take you further ...
this looks like its in three lengths already?what about cutting/dividing it along that seam as well ? ....
a long bottom/shorter top mosaic type? or go the whole hog and mosaic the entire piece in perfect squares ..
my want would be to leave in the long/short ....
or ... stitching even ? ... stitch the panels together and cut up /stitch along the seam line ...
it is a beautiful piece ... my strong feeling is it could take you further - because of that pesky seam line.
always enjoy reading you >>> Gina

Gina,
you are full of great ideas. I had thought of the mosaic idea and cropping but your stitching idea has caused me to consider other options if not for this one, for others. Thanks. This piece has to live somehow. I know I can't leave the seam !
