Passing time

What can you do when your vision is impaired?

I'm finding out. As an artist, having vision problems is pretty frustrating and humbling.  My current condition prevents me from going out, reading or typing except with one eye closed, and even walking within the house  is disorienting.  I'm coming close to having my vertical double vision "adjusted".  Why it's double is still part of my medical mystery. Tuesday won't come soon enough. I only hope those prisms work.  In the meantime, I am typing this with one eye closed, so your eyes won't get tired by the length of the post.

I've discovered audio books but they put me to sleep!  That's a good tip for insomniacs.  I can view pictures on  my I Pad if it is my lap without too much distortion. I'm so glad I found Pinterest and set it up before I ended up in hospital.  It is a great diversion and  I'm finding lots of artist whose blogs I follow. My boards are quite varied because of my dual careers. You have to wade around to find the art.  If you haven't checked out Pinterest already here's the link to my boards.  If you are using Pinterest I would love to follow you.

So sorry to hear your sight is troubling you. It's hard to bear for anyone but particularly hard for a 'visually active' person. I do hope it's soon sorted out.

Thanks for your well wishes Corinne and Jane. It could be worse! I will appreciate my vision that much more when I am seeing well again.

I hope the medical mystery is solved soon; we expect doctors to know everything. May Tuesday go well for you.

Margaret, how did I miss this post? I've been thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. Tuesday is only two more sleeps away!
I'm on Pinterest but I'm not very good at keeping up with it. I'll find you. Take care.

Two more sleeps to adjusted eyes. Hope this works so I can get on with art and blogging with two eyes.

Hi Margaret, it has been awhile and I did not know you were having vision problems.. I am so sorry. I have found you at Pinterest.. since I started there about a month ago.. 6 of my art friends and fellow bloggers have started there as well-- all 'mad' at me because it is so addicting
:-). I hope your vision improves.

Hello Margaret,
As someone who had to have prisms to make my eyes work in unison I can assure that they do work. After my stitching was curtailed somewhat I found that using the eye-piece on my camera gave me back the freedom to photograph and so I had an artistic outlet once again. I hope that all goes well for you. Hang in there. Ann
